Today we are publishing our third installment<\/a>, an interview with Hervey Wilson about the Geneva Framework<\/a>. If you follow my blog or even just worked on web services since some time, I am absolutely sure you know who Hervey is: back in 2003 I was furiously cranking up with web services, and I pestered him (via mail, I was still in Italy\u2019s MCS) practically on daily basis with questions on his product (WSE). Ah well, I already wrote the caption for the video: why am I paraphrasing myself? Let me just just paste it in here: <\/p>\n

If you have been working with web services for some time on Microsoft platform, you are certainly familiar with the name \u201cHervey Wilson<\/b>\u201d. Hervey is one of the key people behind the Web Services Enhancement<\/b> (WSE<\/b>) library, the first product that brought WS-*<\/b> to .NET developers. In May 2005 he moved to the Federated Identity team, where he touched pretty much everything you can think of: today he covers the role of Architect in the Geneva team. Last week Vittorio went to visit Hervey in his office, and recorded him as he gives a detailed account on past<\/b>, present<\/b> and future<\/b> of the Geneva Framework<\/b>. Understanding how technology and industry practices evolved eventually leading to the creation of the Geneva Framework<\/b> not only is interesting per se, but also provides insights on the kind of problems it can help you solve and precious indications on the intended usage of the product<\/b>. Finally, Hervey gives some hint about the possible future areas<\/b> that Geneva will explore in its next phases.<\/em><\/p>\n
